How to bind Shell Title to a Label inside Shell.TitleView?

Hi everyone,

I am trying to use the standard Shell Title property inside a custom Shell.TitleView, but the binding doesn't seem to be resolving.

Here is the XAML snippet I'm currently working with:

<Shell.TitleView>
    <HorizontalStackLayout VerticalOptions="Fill">
        <Label Text="{Binding Title, Source={x:Reference Shell}}"
               TextColor="Black"
               VerticalTextAlignment="Center"
               VerticalOptions="Center"
               HeightRequest="50"
               FontSize="Medium" />
    </HorizontalStackLayout>
</Shell.TitleView>

The Issue:
I want to bind the page's title directly to the Label.Text within the TitleView. As you can see, I tried referencing the Shell directly using Source={x:Reference Shell}, but it's not picking up the value.

I haven't done deep debugging on this yet, but I've tried a few alternative binding approaches and none have worked so far.

Environment:

• Framework: .NET MAUI 10
• SDK: 10.0.100

Has anyone successfully bound the Shell Title within a TitleView this way? If so, could you please share the proper way to set up this binding?
