Is PDF++ still being maintained? Is there a maintained fork?

I see the latest update was from over a year ago. While there is a note about working on v1.0.0, there's no branch pushed up to indicate if it's in active progress.

With the breaking changes mentioned #569 and #570, this plugin is officially out of sync with Obsidian until the fix in #572 is merged in and released.

I love the idea of this plugin, but I don't want to invest in it if it's not going to keep up.

looking at the repo itself: the last push was 2025-08-30 (the 0.40.31 release), nothing since, and the readme note about working on a v1.0.0 rewrite is the same one thats been there a while. no v1 branch, just main, dev and docs. 10 PRs sitting open. not maintained in any practical sense for about a year, whatever the plan is

the closest thing to a fork is mintmilk's, thats where #572 (the 1.13 settings tab fix) comes from, and it has a few other fix branches too, last pushed mid september. but it has no releases, u cant point BRAT at it, youd have to build it from the branch yourself (its the usual esbuild setup, npm install and npm run build then copy main.js, manifest.json and styles.css into the plugin folder). none of the other forks have any activity worth mentioning afaik

id treat it as unmaintained until the author shows up again, and keep an eye on #572. lmk if u find a fork i missed

Sorry everyone, my bandwidth has been completely taken up by my PhD thesis for a while... I'm planning the next PDF++ update in November or December.
